Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell has missed the first three weeks of the season as he continues his holdout, and former franchise star James Harrison offered the Pro Bowler some creative advice.

Harrison - who had a bitter departure from the Steelers late in the 2017 season - appeared on FS1 (h/t ESPN.com), and gave his thoughts on what Bell should do. Harrison suggests Bell appear by Nov. 13 - the date he must return by if he wants to be eligible for free agency next year.

"For me, I'd give you everything at practice. You'd see -- the cameras would see -- that I'm fine, I'm healthy," Harrison said. "But come Saturday, 'Something ain't right. I can't play on Sunday.' Because if I go out here and I mess something up, I'm losing a lot of money."

It'd be quite the task for Bell to try and pull off, and there's almost no chance of the 26-year-old performing such a stunt. But Harrison adds yet another witty and humorous comment to his repertoire.

Bell rejected a five-year, $70 million contract from the Steelers in the offseason, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Despite promising to sign his franchise tender and play out the 2018 season, Bell went against that vow and continues to sit out games and lose major paychecks.

The Steelers haven't exactly missed Bell thus far, as backup RB James Conner has filled in nicely with 213 rushing yards and three touchdowns through the first three games. Pittsburgh's offense hasn't missed a beat, averaging 453.3 yards and 29.3 points per game.

Bell has been the subject of trade rumors throughout the past several days, but Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman said on Wednesday that the team wants to keep him. The situation has gotten uglier over time, and there are no signs yet that Bell is ready to end his holdout and return to football.
