Ronda Rousey has been on an "impregnation vacation" since her loss to Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 35, and it hasn't been confirmed yet if she'll be returning to the squared circle.

Rousey's first year in the WWE was a massive success, as she quickly grew into a main event talent and helped push the women's division even more. It was capped off by a Raw Women's Championship run, and she was involved in the very first women's main event WrestleMania match - alongside Lynch and Charlotte Flair.

So will Rousey be back to avenge her heartbreaking loss to Lynch? According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t Ringside News), the backstage belief is that Rousey will return to WWE.

Interestingly, Meltzer added that WWE prefers if Rousey doesn't make a one-off appearance only to go back on hiatus. Rather, WWE wants Rousey's return to be utilised for setting up a match.

Meltzer previously reported that WWE is hoping to have Rousey appear for the Oct. 4 SmackDown Live 20th anniversary special show. Based on Meltzer's latest report, it's safe to say that if Rousey were to make an appearance, it would help set up her next match.

Another bout with Lynch would likely be next in store for Rousey. She is entitled to a rematch, after all, and the current Raw Women's Champion dared Rousey to "come at her." Their rivalry was excellent from top to bottom, after all, and it's safe to say that the majority of the WWE Universe would welcome another chapter of Rousey vs. Lynch.

WWE told TMZ Sports back in January that Rousey is under contract through April 10, 2021, so all signs point towards The Baddest Woman on the Planet returning at some point. We just have to sit back and wait for it now.

What This Means

It hasn't been confirmed yet if Rousey will be appearing on the Oct. 4 episode of SmackDown. We should get a good indicator soon, however, and hopefully her next match will be set when she returns. Rousey has been an incredible addition to the WWE roster, and she'll be a huge game-changer for the company during its upcoming war with AEW.
