WWE's return to touring will begin on July 16, and it looks like two major wrestlers could appear that day.

Last week, WWE announced their plans for a return to touring. The aforementioned July 16 episode of SmackDown will be held in front of fans at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. Edge and Sasha Banks, who've been absent from television since WrestleMania 36, are featured on the show's advertisement, as noted by WrestlingInc.com:

Banks lost her SmackDown Women's Championship to Bianca Belair in the main event of day one for WrestleMania 37. Edge and Daniel Bryan were unsuccessful in defeating Roman Reigns for the latter's Universal Championship in a triple threat match at WrestleMania 37. That match was the main event for day two.

With Banks on hiatus, Belair has feuded with Bayley, whom she defeated in a title match at WrestleMania Backlash. On last week's episode of SmackDown, Bayley, Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler defeated Belair, Natalya and Tamina in a tag team bout.

Following his successful title defense at WrestleMania, Reigns continued his program with Bryan. He retained his title on the Apr. 30 episode of SmackDown, and per the match stipulation, Bryan was forced to leave the show. Reigns is now feuding with Cesaro, whom he defeated in the main event of WrestleMania Backlash.

It's obviously possible that Banks and/or Edge return to WWE programming before July 16. We'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out.

Edge & Banks Have Been Away Since WrestleMania 37

Edge Money in the Bank WrestleMania 21

As noted above, Edge and Banks have been absent from WWE television since WrestleMania. Reigns and Belair have worked with other opponents in the meantime, but we'll likely Edge and Banks reenter the main event pictures when they return to television. Banks is technically entitled to a rematch, per WWE tradition, and Edge seemingly has unfinished business with Reigns.
