R-Truth was an extremely busy man on SmackDown Live and even lost his 24/7 Championship for a little while.

Believe it or not, it has only been nine days since Mick Foley unveiled the WWE 24/7 Championship on Raw. So much has happened to the title between now and then that it feels as if it has been around a lot longer. Within hours of the championship first being introduced, it had already been held by three Superstars.

R-Truth was the man who managed to escape with the gold on night one, and he successfully held onto it for a full eight days. Not only has Truth been chased throughout arenas during Raw and SmackDown Live, but he revealed to Carmella that he isn't safe anywhere. Truth even claimed that someone tried to pin him in a dentist's office while he was getting a cavity filled.

On this week's SmackDown Live, the chase brought him to the middle of the ring. After Truth pinned Drake Maverick (we're still not sure why) he realized that he had interrupted Shane McMahon appreciation night. Drew McIntyre then proceeded to punish him for doing so, and was gracious enough to let Elias pin him. That resulted in The Drifter becoming the fourth ever WWE 24/7 Champion.

Shane O'Mac then booked a beaten down Truth in a match. A tag team match in which Truth would team with Roman Reigns to take on McIntyre and the new 24/7 Champion. McMahon even suspended the 24/7 rules for the match to protect Elias. Trouble is, that rule suspension was lifted after the match ended, and it ended via a spear on the champ. That left Elias vulnerable to being pinned for a second time after the bell.

That's exactly what happened. Reigns told Truth to have at it, and the night ended as it started, with Truth as the 24/7 Champion. That also means he is the first ever 24/7 Champion in WWE history. We can't imagine he'll be the last. It also means we could still see Carmella beat him for the title at some point soon. That has to happen, right?
