We are less than three weeks away from Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta, but it's never too early to look ahead towards next year's big game - set to take place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
According to SuperBook USA (h/t Will Brinson of CBS sports), the Los Angeles Rams are the early Super Bowl favorites for next season at 6-1 odds. The Kansas City Chiefs are next at 7-1, followed by the New Orleans Saints (8-1), and New England Patriots (10-1).
No surprises here, as the four favorites for next year are also playing in this year's two Conference Championship games. The Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Chargers are tied for the fifth best odds at 12-1. Both of those clubs went 12-4 this season and made the playoffs, but fell short in their quests of reaching the Super Bowl.
The Miami Dolphins have the worst odds for next year at 300-1, so don't get your hopes up about the franchise playing in the Super Bowl while also hosting it. Seven teams had 100-1 odds, including the Oakland Raiders, Cincinnati Bengals and New York Jets.
Los Angeles and New Orleans tied for the best record in the NFL at 13-3, and they'll vie for this Sunday's NFC Championship Game. Both teams have a great mix of young and veteran Pro Bowl talent, and with their core players signed through 2019, there's good reason to believe they'll both contend again next season.
As for the Chiefs and Patriots, they're playing for the AFC Championship this Sunday. Kansas City is led by star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who will have them in contention for years to come. The Patriots are among the heavy betting favorites to win every year, and that won't be changing for at least two more years.
What This Means
It's obviously way too early to know which teams will be competing for the Super Bowl next year, but there's good reason to believe 2018's top teams will be in the running again for 2019. Right now, the odds are unsurprisingly favoring the final four teams in 2018.
