Randy Orton and Will Ospreay want to wrestle each other, and the former would be willing to go to New Japan in order to get it done.

Will Ospreay has the rare accolade of being one of the few competitors in wrestling today that has not wrestled a single match for WWE. Even the likes of Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks have worked for Vince McMahon before they really reached wrestling fame. Ospreay used the resurgence in the British scene and New Japan to make himself famous.

Nevertheless, he has likely been talked about backstage in WWE more than ever recently. Firstly, due to the fact that he clashed on Twitter with Seth Rollins. The pair of them argued over which of them is the better wrestler, and who wrestles for the better promotion. Eventually, cooler heads prevailed and Rollins apologized for bringing money into the equation.

The latest WWE Superstar Ospreay has been interacting with on Twitter is Randy Orton. It's still unclear why they started tweeting each other, but it has resulted in the two of them lobbying for a match together. The Viper questioned whether Ospreay would be up for a dream match in June 2020, but the NJPW star suggested the former WWE Champion come to New Japan instead.

Shockingly, Orton seems all in on that idea. Ospreay wrote, "you’re like a multi-time champ, could you just leave for a bit come here for #OspreayVsOrton." Orton replied "Sounds like $ to me. I’ll ask Tuesday at #SmackdownLive since I’m not on the #RAWReunion." At the time of typing this, that was the last interaction between the two. Perhaps we will know more after SmackDown Live tonight.

Orton was not on the Raw Reunion show. However, he shouldn't be too disheartened about that. Pretty much all of the three-hour show revolved around stars from the past, and there were very few current wrestlers on the show. It clearly rubbed Orton the wrong way, though. Hopefully, his omission from the show will be enough to have WWE let him take a trip to Japan for a one-off dream match with Ospreay.
