Randy Orton Hits Zack Ryder Outta Nowhere On Twitter

Not only can Randy Orton put his opponents down at a moment's notice in the ring, he can do it on social media too.

Randy Orton's WWE career to date should not be understated. Since it has run parallel with the likes of John Cena and Brock Lesnar, it can often be overlooked. The Viper has been on the main roster for 16 years. In that time, he has competed against pretty much every top star and has held 13 World Championships.

What is perhaps even more impressive is that Orton continues to appear on SmackDown Live almost every week. While Lesnar is less than part-time and Cena segues into the movie world, The Apex Predator is helping to hold down the fort on Tuesday nights. He still gets big reactions from the in-house fans and while he won't be putting on match of the year any time soon, he has been having solid matches with Superstars like Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio.

What's refreshing and entertaining about Orton is that he has been around for so long, he doesn't care what anyone thinks of him. That goes for fans and his employers. That's why we get gems like the tweet he directed at Zack Ryder this week. Ryder is guest hosting the E&C Pod Of Awesomeness with Christian this week. The show asked fans on Twitter for questions for the both of them, and Orton had the perfect reply.

The Viper quoted the tweet and wrote "are you glad you let WWE take over your YouTube channel?" As burns go, they don't get much better than this one. A little background for those of you who don't know. Ryder started up his own YouTube channel years ago in order to garner some popularity in WWE. It worked, and he even became United States Champion. WWE then took control of the channel and it was never really the same after that.

Chances are Ryder and Orton are friends, they have been sharing a locker room for over a decade after all. However, joke or not, we greatly appreciate The Viper making it public so that we can all be a part of it. We also hope that Ryder and Christian address it on the podcast. We'll certainly be listening out for it once it drops.
