One more Raw before Survivor Series, and a lot more work left to do. The champion versus champion matches are all set, but the elimination matches that will take place still had a lot of gaps to fill. For the most part, that was what Raw focused on this week for the slightly shorter three-hour show. By the end of it, we would know everyone from Raw with a place on this Sunday's PPV.

It doesn't happen often, but this week Raw actually opened with a match. A tag team battle with the winners earning a place on Team Raw in the tag team elimination match at Survivor Series this Sunday. Unfortunately, there were no winners. That's because Braun Strowman came to the ring and systematically picked apart almost all of Raw's tag division. Ringing any bells? Strowman's intention was to take Raw hostage until he got his hands on Baron Corbin. That was until Stephanie McMahon came to the ring and talked him down. The commissioner promised Strowman anything he wants, providing he helps Team Raw win at Survivor Series this weekend. That also means he can't put his hands on Corbin, not until this Sunday is out of the way.

It has now been weeks since Dean Ambrose turned on Seth Rollins, yet The Lunatic has barely said more than two words about it. Until now. Rollins came to the ring for an interview with Corey Graves and was interrupted by Ambrose. His former Shield brother wasn't in the arena, though. He appeared on the titantron, sat on the hood of a car next to a barrel with a fire burning in it. He ranted about how Rollins and Roman Reigns treated him like a charity case. That they had been holding them back. After talking about symbols he once thought made him strong, Ambrose revealed his Shield flat jacket. Yep, you guessed it, he then tossed it into that fire and walked away.

Last week's Raw main event was uncomfortable to watch. Drew McIntyre not only defeated Kurt Angle, he humiliated him. As you likely expected, The Scot came to the ring, along with Dolph Ziggler, to gloat about what he had done. One man backstage couldn't stand to listen to him go on and on. That man was Finn Balor. The Irishman came to the ring to challenge McIntyre to a match, but the former NXT Champion was reluctant. Instead, he offered up his partner, insinuating that Balor is good enough to face Ziggler, but not himself. Insulting to Ziggler from his very own partner, but maybe it was apt. Balor managed to defeat The Show off after all.

Brock Lesnar and AJ Styles went head to head at last year's Survivor Series in what was effectively a dream match. It didn't turn out to be the best match we have ever seen, but by Lesnar's standards, it was pretty good. This Sunday, that match will happen again. That's why we got a healthy dose of The Beast on Raw this week. Once Paul Heyman was done talking, well actually before he had finished, Jinder Mahal's music hit. The Maharajah wanted to give Lesnar some advice on how to deal with Styles. Bad idea. The Universal Champion indulged him for a few seconds before laying waste to Mahal and the Singh Brothers.

The final segment on Raw revolved around Alexa Bliss announcing all five of her picks for the Raw women's team at Survivor Series. Bliss revealed four of the five would be Tamina, Jax, Mickie James, and Natalya. However, she couldn't decide between Sasha Banks and Bayley for that coveted final spot, so they had to compete for it. Turns out Bliss was dangling a carrot in front of the two of them that they were never going to get. James, Jax, and Tamina interfered mid-match and caused it to be thrown out. Bliss then revealed that the actual fifth member was Ruby Riott. At this point, Raw was thrown into chaos. It was revealed that Becky Lynch had Ronda Rousey in an armbar backstage and while everyone was watching, the rest of SmackDown Live's women invaded the ring. An all-out brawl ensued and when Lynch joined in, she managed to get busted open. That didn't slow her down though, and she took full advantage of a wounded Rousey with a steel chair before escaping through the crowd.
