We knew the 24/7 Title would be changing hands at Raw Reunion, but we did not expect this man to become champion.

Nine-time 24/7 Champion R-Truth has had a busy weekend. The veteran decided to "hide out" with his title at San Diego Comic-Con. The trouble is, he advertised the fact he was headed there on live television. That meant his foe Drake Maverick followed him to the event. You may have seen the 205 Live's exploits. He was the one dressed as a banana.

Despite his repeated attempts, and a cameo from The Hurricane, Maverick failed to leave SDCC as a three-time 24/7 Champion. However, it didn't take him long to capture the title for a third time at the Raw Reunion. As Truth described his weekend to Charly Caruso, Maverick interrupted and pinned the champ to win the title.

RAW REUNION: Unadvertised Star Opens The Show

Sadly for the Brit, his third reign would be the shortest one to date. Immediately after winning back the title, Maverick rushed to the locker room to grab his suitcase. When he discovered his bag was full of worms, Maverick let out a yelp and found The Boogeyman standing over him. It wasn't the creepy Superstar in the room that would win the title though, it was the old one.

Hall Of Famer Pat Patterson had clearly stopped by to see what all the fuss was about. After giving Maverick a couple of swift kicks, he planted his foot on his chest and demanded the conveniently placed referee to count. On three, Patterson was declared the new 24/7 Champion. At 78 years old, Patterson is 31 years older than the next oldest person who has held the 24/7 Title so far. In fact, he might be the oldest champion in WWE history. We'll have to get back to you on that one.

Chances are the Raw Reunion won't end with Patterson as champion. In fact, by the time you read this, the title might well have changed hands once again. Mick Foley has openly admitted on Twitter that the championship is the main reason he is coming to the show after all. Plus, no matter how many legends hold the title tonight, we fully expect Truth to be the one who leaves with the title.

UPDATE: Gerald Brisco has since pinned Patterson to become champion, only to be covered by Kelly Kelly right after.
