WWE ran an ad for what it has dubbed "the biggest reunion in Monday night Raw history" and we don't have long to wait for it.
There was once a time when WWE would mock its rivals for using what it believed to be old wrestlers. Most notably during the Monday Night War when WCW shone spotlights on Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage. Nowadays, Vince McMahon calls upon Superstars from the past who are much older than Hogan and Savage were back then.
The likes of The Undertaker, Goldberg, Shawn Michaels, and more. Believe it or not, even the likes of AJ Styles and John Cena are around the same age now as Hogan and Savage were when WWE was mocking them. Despite the coming weeks in WWE supposedly being a clean slate for Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff to work upon, WWE's reliance on the past continues to rear its head.
That was exhibited within the first hour of Sunday night's Extreme Rules, and not just via Undertaker competing in the show's opening match. After that bout, WWE ran an ad for a Raw Reunion. As you can see below, the show has been dubbed "the biggest reunion in Monday Night Raw history." That's hard to argue with considering some of the names who have been advertised for it.
Stone Cold, Hogan, Ric Flair, HBK, Razor Ramon, and Kurt Angle, just to name a few. What's more, we imagine all of the names that flashed across the screen aren't the only legends that will be in attendance. WWE normally saves these types of shows for milestones and anniversaries. Clearly, the road to SummerSlam is reason enough for a show of that stature nowadays.
Raws like these do tend to be pretty entertaining, and we don't have long to wait to see this one. WWE revealed at the end of the ad that the reunion show will take place when Raw rolls through Tampa, Florida. For those of you who don't have their WWE calendars handy, that's on July 22, 2019. That's right, just eight days away, at least at the time of typing this.
