On the Raw following Extreme Rules opened up, Seth Rollins wasted no time holding everyone responsible but himself. And, after a great opening 30 minutes, WWE kept up the pace to bring a close to the first hour, offering a title changedand a Superstar return to the red brand.

The second hour featured shorter matches but the third offered a great bout between two female stars and the Unsanctioned Match to close the show.

Here are the winners and losers for Raw, July 20, 2020:

Winner: Rollins Blames WWE Universe

Immediately addressing one of the more memorable moments from Sunday's PPV, Rollins wasted no time pleading that what he did to Rey was a necessary evil, but he didn't want to physically remove Rey's eye from the socket . It made him physically ill in doing so. It was an excellent promo that was only outdone by even better in-ring work.

Aleister Black and Rollins put on a clinic, the only drawback being that Black took the clean pin. Still, Black's days as the mysterious and ominous Gothic threat are long gone, and he can't win them all. This was an important win for Rollins and Black's character wasn't destroyed since the beat down that came at the hands of Murphy and Rollins afterwards sets up a Monday Night Messiah vs. Black feud.

There will certainly be questions about Rey's status, but he might be gone for some time.

Winner: Benjamin Joins, Mustafa Ali Returns

It took a few weeks longer than expected, but Shelton Benjamin has officially joined MVP and Bobby Lashley, and it immediately paid dividends as Benjamin won the 24/7 Championship backstage from R-Truth. As he came out to the ring with his new group, Ricochet and Cedric Alexander arrives not long after to announce they had a partner to take on the new cowardly trio.

Mustafa Ali returned, joined Alexander and Ricochet and picked up a big win over the new United States Champion. Will this lead to a rivalry between Ali and MVP? Or, was this just WWE throwing a returning star in a good spot, but potentially not following through?

Loser: Christian's Promo

Meant to hype the main event for tonight, it's not fair to blame Christian for how little this promo worked. Someone told him to act completely sombre and distraught and it just didn't play well on television.

WWE did a series of promos setting up the marquee nature of the Unsanctioned Match, and maybe Christian was part of it to tease a future match. Who knows if that actually ever happens.

Winner: Ruby Riott

Riott won a match!! Even she was shocked after picking up a victory over Peyton Royce, who didn't have Billie Kay with her at ringside. Riott deserves a win and it's hard not to feel good for her, even if this doesn't last.

That said, this match was far too short considering the bouts before them were all lengthy and athletic contests that set the show off to a good start. The second hour took a turn away from that trend and Riott and Royce suffered for it.

Winner: Montez Ford

Wins and losses aside, Montez Ford deserves to receive credit for what might have been the best frogsplash in WWE history. Getting incredible height and turning in mid-air, he nailed Angel Garza for the pin.

Ford can be over the top, but he's a character and is extremely athletic. This was a strong match for him to show some of the things that make him stand out.

Winner: Stephanie McMahon Declares Title Vacant

Bragging that she'd won the Raw Women's Championship, Banks was all smiles thinking she'd gotten away with it. But, after Asuka and Kairi Sane showed up, it was Stephanie McMahon who appeared on the big screen to say that Banks did not win the title at Extreme Rules. Then again, Asuka didn't exactly retain it.

The title is vacant and will be decided next week and any loss will declare a champion. That means, if Bayley gets involved, or Banks suffers a pinfall, submission, countout, disqualification, Sasha is, once again, without a title.

The match that followed between Kairi Sane and Bayley was a beauty, fitting of Sane being able to say goodbye on a high note. She got the better of the SmackDown Women's Champion with a roll-up pin for the win. If Sane really is leaving, as has been reported, she showed she'll be sorely missed.

Loser: McIntyre Rematch Against Dolph Ziggler

WWE is going back to the well again, this time giving the champion a distinct advantage. McIntyre came out to the ring to say he wanted a worthy opponent for SummerSlam in late August. One wasn't announced, but Ziggler showed up, was desperate for a rematch and annoyed Drew just enough to convince him to accept another fight. It was the fact that Dolph said Drew could pick the stipulation.

McIntyre will fight Ziggler again in two weeks and won;'t announce the stipulation until then. Clearly, this is filler to get Drew to SummerSlam and while this has the potential to be a good match, how is anyone supposed to believe Ziggler could walk into the summer's biggest party the new champion?

Winner/Loser: Orton Kills Another Legend

Orton predictably took out Big Show tonight, giving him a punt to send him packing. WWE did its best to build this up, but it wasn't much more than a mediocre main event. It was fine for what it was.

The question is, how long will Show be out and who does Orton target next?
