On Monday, Raw completed the construction of its men's Survivor Series team by adding two new members. The team is officially set and the red brand will try to work together to take out the blue brand in a battle of the brands.
Coming into Raw, the team consisted of Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler, and Drew McIntyre. Not long into the show, Balor pulled off what some consider to be an upset win over Ziggler and Stephanie McMahon liked what she saw. After the match, she offered Balor a spot on the team, forcing McIntyre and Ziggler to hold off their quest for retribution.
Later on in the evening, a match was announced that would settle the final member of the team. It would pit Elias versus Bobby Lashley, the winner moving on to join Team Raw.
The match was heavily controlled by Elias until Lio Rush got involved and forced a count-out by holding Elias' foot while under the ring. With Lashley earning the controversial win, Elias won the battle after taking out Lashley and his mouthpiece but Lashley won the war, being added to Survivor Series. The battle will now be Lashley, Balor, Ziggler, McIntyre and Strowman, captained by Baron Corbin versus Shane McMahon, Rey Mysterio, Samoa Joe, Daniel Bryan and The Miz.
Sunday's pay-per-view will feature a number of traditional Survivor Series-style matches, but perhaps the most interesting will be the men's match. Will the many competitors of the match be able to overcome their personal animosity to perform as a team? Will it matter for Team Raw who has a monster like Braun Strowman on it?
Survivor Series comes to the WWE Universe live this Sunday on the WWE Network just a few weeks after Crown Jewel.
