Before Bobby Lashley returned to WWE, The Great Khali tried to goad him into a first-time ever match. Or at least that's what we think he was trying to do.

Whether old school wrestlers like to admit it or not, the business has changed. Keeping things under wraps before they make it to television is almost impossible nowadays. That's mainly down to the evolution of the internet and social media. Secrets and storylines leak out and somehow, news sites and fans get wind of what is going to happen before it actually unfolds.

Social media doesn't have to be all bad in the wrestling world, though. Even though it has blurred the line between storyline and reality, wrestlers can really use things like Twitter and Instagram to their advantage. Take Becky Lynch, for example. The Man has been destroying fellow Superstars on Twitter left and right recently. She also used it to keep herself relevant while she was injured.

It can also have quite the opposite effect, as demonstrated by The Great Khali in 2016. Before Bobby Lashley returned to WWE this year, most of you reading this likely know that he was a pretty big deal in Impact Wrestling. In fact, in August 2016, Lashley held three different Impact titles. Lashley boasted about how well he was doing in a tweet, and Khali inexplicably decided to reply. The Indian wrestler simply wrote "hello."

Rather than leave it at that and chalk it up to a mistake or a rush of blood to the head, Khali continued to send reply after reply. The next was a photo of himself with the World Heavyweight Title over his shoulder, then a tweet making sure Lashley and Impact would see it, and then a final tweet of him holding the same title in his hands. Just to clarify, Khali was neither World Champion nor was he even under contract with WWE at this point.

Shockingly, we still haven't laid out our very favorite part of this whole thing. In the comments below the above Reddit post, someone pointed out that Great Khali has shortened his name in his twitter handle. Fair enough we guess. Except he hasn't shortened the great to gr8 as it appears on first glance, but to g8 which we are assuming is a mistake. We might be wrong and he might have meant it. Either way, we love you Khali. Never change.
