As Renee Young put it, she hasn't had the best week. Her WWE Backstage show was canceled and she's confirmed she's tested positive for COVID-19.

Taking to social media on Wednesday night, Young posted that she's had a lousy week, first finding out her talk show with FS1 had been canceled (until now, it was merely rumored as being changed a non-weekly show) and now she has contracted the COVID-19 virus.

The news is certain to remove her from WWE programming for at least two weeks and she's likely among the many names rumored to have tested positive for the virus in WWE"s latest round of testing.

Young wrote, "Man. What a few days. My show gets cancelled and I get Covid. Wear your masks and wash your hands. Stay safe, everyone." A number of wrestlers and industry insiders responded to her tweet with heart emojis and wished her to stay safe.

There was speculation prior to her announcing she'd contracted the disease that she might be among those infected. Her husband Jon Moxley was pulled from AEW's Dynamite program last minute on Wednesday as it was announced he had been in contact with someone who had the virus. The first instinct was that it might be his wife. There is no word at this time on whether this will affect his match at AEW’s Fyter Fest but AEW did promote the match was still scheduled to take place on tonight's show.

What Does This Mean Now?

WWE provided a statement earlier regarding the positive tests, which read:

”WWE will continue COVID-19 testing of its talent, production crew and employees in advance of TV productions for the foreseeable future.”

For Young, she'll quarantine and it is expected Moxley will as well. As for who Young was in contact with, she was at the Performance Center as part of SmackDown and she likely came into contact with a number of Superstars at that time. We could be hearing about positive tests for other names right away.

As for WWE, they are bound to take a ton of heat because of their lazy testing policy. AEW fans will certainly be upset. It's one thing to put the health and safety of your own roster at risk, but now they'll be blamed for removing the champion from their competition.
