Despite a reported injury, Rey Mysterio may be coming to WWE after all.

John Cena teased a match with The Undertaker a couple weeks ago on Raw. The reality seems to be that The Undertaker won't be a part of WWE's biggest show of the year and speculation was Mysterio was working on a contract with WWE that would lead him to a match with the 16-time World Champion. Unfortunately, a torn bicep injury immediately led insiders to believe Mysterio's return at WrestleMania 34 was in jeopardy.

That may still be the case depending on the severity of his injury but a WWE return is not out of the question at all. PWInsider recently reported that the belief is Mysterio didn't suffer a total tear and has been seen moving his arm much more aggressively than someone who has a serious injury.

The belief is that he suffered a partially torn bicep working for Northeast Wrestling this past Friday in Connecticut. He was examined by a doctor earlier this week and his prognosis is strong. When all is said and done, he shouldn't miss much action.  This is much more positive news than fans had immediately worried was the case when the injury was announced.

WWE and Mysterio are still discussing terms of a deal that could bring him back to the company on a part-time basis. This, in and of itself, suggests that the injury is not too serious. WWE was skeptical about bringing Mysterio back until his return at the 2018 Royal Rumble proved there was still a huge demand for him on the roster. Now that WWE knows Mysterio can draw fan interest, they're more likely to find a deal that works for both sides.

If the tear is not a bad one, there is still a chance WrestleMania 34 could include Mysterio. That would be ideal for all parties but a bit more time might be needed to see how his arm will hold up.
