WWE has always been known as a company working to extend its reach to a Latino and Latin-American audience. When personalities like Eddie Guerrero and Alberto Del Rio were at the top of their game, it was great for the company who found its Latino-based audience had a WWE Superstar they could rally behind. One of the biggest Latino stars in WWE history — Rey Mysterio — seems to think WWE is not far from getting back to a level where they can have that kind of reach again.

Mysterio was part of an interview with Telemundo reporter Harry Ruiz who asked him about the state of WWE today when it came to Latino Superstars. He named Kalisto, Lince Dorado and Andrade "Cien" Almas specifically. Mysterio responded that the Latin pool of talent in WWE is "incredible" and that the only thing they need now is for someone like him to "link" them all together in a stable to help push them.

Whether that idea has been tossed around in WWE is unclear but there are rumors Mysterio and WWE have been trying to work out details of a return and the two sides haven't been able to put pen to paper on any kind of longer-term contract.

The reporter asked if Rey could see a revival of The Latino World Order (LWO) and Rey asked, "Why not?" When Rey held up the LWO sign with his hands, the reporter asked if Vince was paying attention suggesting the two had come up with a winning idea. Rey laughed to end the video but one has to wonder if Mysterio really believes this is an idea worth pursuing.

It is likely Mysterio and WWE will work something out. It seems too big an idea and too good a partnership to not make happen and while WWE would like to capitalize on their Latino stars, the idea of the LWO is probably well down the totem pole in terms of ideas being thrown around. WWE often prefers to create their own stables, especially when it comes to old WCW factions. If Rey were to lead the group and it were the LWO, it might also require he turn heel which too, is probably not high on WWE's list of ideas.
