In a recent report, it appears Rey Mysterio's injury will not keep him out of WrestleMania 35 on Sunday and should be able to compete.

Wrestling reporter and news insider Dave Meltzer is now reporting that Mysterio will be fine to wrestle this Sunday at the wrestling promotion's biggest show of the year. The injury that had some concerned he'd miss his match, while nagging, is not as serious as originally thought.

Mysterio was going to be questionable for Sunday night. Thanks to a match on the most recent episode of Monday Night Raw, where Mysterio wrestled Baron Corbin in honor of Kurt Angle, it appeared the originator of the 6-1-9 was injured. He landed badly on his ankle and while he was able to finish the match, the WWE updated fans on the seriousness of that injury saying they weren't sure if he'd be able to make his match at WrestleMania. One thing they knew for sure, Mysterio it was bad enough that his match with Andrade on SmackDown Live the next night was being canceled.

Rey himself then updated fans saying he was praying he'd be good to go on Sunday and that a replacement wouldn't need to be named. There was no word from WWE on whether or not they would find another competitor or if the match itself was simply going to be canceled. With 17 rumored matches and a card that is rumored to run over seven hours, it wouldn't have surprised anyone if that was the end result.

What This Means

In the end, it looks like WWE won't have to make a change and Mysterio will be good to go. All that praying seemed to work and it will be a welcome site for Mysterio who hasn't had a major role in a WrestleMania for a while. He'll also get to wrestle in front of his son Dominick on the grandest stage of them all.
