For a lot of wrestlers, getting to Raw or SmackDown and possibly headlining WrestleMania is a dream. For one NXT star, that pathyway to success it apparently not in the cards.

It's not that an NXT star will never headline WrestleMania. It's just not all that likely and for NXT star Rhea Ripley, that doesn't seem to matter. Ripley said she's doesn't think she'll outgrow the black and gold brand, and frankly, has no desire to go anywhere.

Ripley told Newsweek that she doesn't see herself leaving and asked if she'd achieved everything she could on Wednesday nights, Ripley said no. She shot down chatter of her maybe heading to Raw or SmackDown and called NXT as her dream job. She noted that her plan is to be in NXT "for a long, long time."

This isn't an entirely new line of thinking. There have been a few stars in NXT who have decided that they'd prefer to stay in NXT versus making the jump to another brand. And, with stars like Finn Balor returning and Kevin Owens saying he'd like to, there's no reason not to believe that Ripley has no desire to make a move.

It's Not Up To Ripley

Ripley did admit that she's not in charge of making the decision that would keep her on NXT or have her move on, and her recent loss to Dakota Kai and her new look has people talking. And, if she's not in line for the NXT Women's Championship, should WWE not try and find something else to do with the star who put on a great show with Charlotte at this year's WrestleMania?

What do you think will happen? Would you keep Ripley in NXT or have her make a move to help the slumping ratings on Mondays and Fridays?
