Ric Flair's surgery has been pushed back to this coming Monday as a result of undisclosed medical complications, according to the legend's wife.

TMZ reported that the 70-year-old was rushed to hospital on Thursday, with the situation described as being quite grave. However, Flair's son-in-law Conrad Thompson moved to downplay the severity via Starrcast media call during which he claimed that the procedure was a planned one.

Flair, who is set for a Starrcast appearance in last Vegas next Friday, is also reported to have been keen on getting the operation out of the way ahead of "The Roast of Ric Flair". But, per his wife, Wendy Barlow, he won't be going under the knife until after the weekend.

"Ric's surgery has been postponed until Monday to address some complications that need to be taken care of first," Barlow posted to Instagram on Friday. "Thanks for all the well wishes."

Details of the surgery and complications are still unknown but, on Thursday, Atlanta Fox 5's Will Nunley reported that the former WWE superstar is being troubled by a heart condition which has been around for years.

According to a TMZ report on Friday, Doctors had planned to operate this Friday. The publication is also claiming that Flair has undergone multiple heart surgeries over the past few months.

It is expected that the Nature Boy will make a "full recovery" following the procedure but his Starrcast appearance should be in doubt.

Migos rapper Offset has since claimed having spoken to Flair over a telephone call.

"[Just] talked to my man. God is with him," he wrote.

"Don't wish death on my friend. He had a long life and he done it all. Some bad but majority good. He is a legend. God bless you Ric. Get well."

What This Means

Well, we're just hoping that everything goes well for the Nature Boy at this point.

He has had his battles with medical issues before but has always managed to come out on top. TheSportster would like to wish the champ a successful operation and a speedy recovery.
