A gif of Rich Swann taunting his opponent and then performing an extremely weird move has surfaced online and we can't get enough of it.

For the first time in a long time, WWE is not the be all and end all of the wrestling business. During the 1990s and before, if you were fired or left WWE you had other options. WCW, ECW, the AWA. For around 15 years that wasn't the case. It's only recently that being future endeavored by Vince McMahon isn't necessarily the end of the world.

You need look no further than wrestlers such as Kenny Omega and Cody Rhodes for two very different examples of that. Omega's career nearly came to an end early on when things didn't work out for him in WWE developmental. Then you have Rhodes who willingly left WWE and has gone on to do massive things with Ring Of Honor and New Japan.

There are also any number of stars who have been released by WWE in the past couple of years that are still making a living on the independent circuit. One of those stars is Rich Swann. Even though Swann was never convicted of the crimes he was accused of in 2017, by the time everything was cleared up WWE had no place for him. As we said though, he continues to wrestle and even innovate on the indies.

We're not sure whether the above is an example of innovation, but we are definitely big fans of it. During what appears to be a tag team match, Swann flips off one of his opponents. Not something he would do in WWE but that's probably a good thing. The former Cruiserweight Champion then proceeds to plant himself head first into the mat like a lawn dart.

Again, we have no idea why Swann does it, but we like it. We're also glad that there is so much out there for non-WWE wrestlers. ROH, New Japan, Impact, and so many more right now. On some level, WWE probably doesn't like it, but for the fans, the business, and the wrestlers themselves, the more places to work the better.
