Rob Gronkowski is headed to the Super Bowl again. And it may very well be his last.

The 29-year-old, All Pro tight end helped the Pats overcome a valiant effort from the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship on Sunday night and will hope to become a champion for the third time when he lines up against the Los Angeles Rams on February 3.

Having flirted with retirement during the last offseason, Gronkowski could decide to call it quits at the end of the current term and it is believed that he will do just that as he has struggled with injuries and might be looking for something less tasking.

NFL reporter Ian Rapoport discussed the player's future this week and claimed that, while signing with the WWE is a possibility, the Patriots star is very likely to pursue a career in acting.

"There's a strong possibility that this is the offseason he decides to hang it up and potentially go into a second career, maybe in the WWE although that is probably unlikely," Rapoport said. "More likely from Gronkowski, he'll try to be a movie star.

"As far as why he'd consider retirement Chris Rose, just think about this, he's battled so many health injuries over the course of his career. He's finally healthy now and feeling good but clearly not the same player. Not do doubt Chris, Gronkowski has a lot to ponder after today."

Gronkowski is a big wrestling fan and is good friends with Mojo Rawley. The pro football star also had an run-in with Jinder Mahal at WrestleMania 33, jumping a barrier to help Rawley win the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

The WWE is also keen on luring the player in once he retires but it appears that he could chase other endeavors instead.

What This Means

If the WWE really wants Gronkowski, they are going to go all out to get him.

They have managed to bring in big names from top sports before - the likes of Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey serve as examples - but convincing the tight end to keep putting his body under pressure could be a very different challenge.
