It looks like multiple MLB teams are a little shy to admit they are interested in Roberto Osuna.

If you said at this time last year that the Toronto Blue Jays would be looking at trading superstar closer Roberto Osuna, most would have called you crazy. However not only have the Toronto Blue Jays front office turned on this elite yet controversial closer, but the fans have as well. This may be the perfect time for a team looking to shore up their bullpen for a playoff push. However, Buster Olney of ESPN notes that no teams are particularly in deep discussion at this point in time.

He also notes that Toronto is just as likely to keep Osuna if a deal is not made. Osuna was one of the lone bright spots for the Jays in the early going of the season, one in which the Jays are well below the .500 mark and are looking at selling off veteran pieces in attempts to get younger.

Before Osuna's arrest on June 22, 2018, he was able to notch his 100th career save on April 10, 2018, becoming the youngest player in MLB history to accomplish the feat. Osuna's legal troubles arise from an alleged case of domestic abuse, which he was suspended 75 games for on May 8, 2018. Osuna will be eligible to return to the Jays from suspension on Aug. 4, 2018.

It will be interesting to see if the Jays are able to move Osuna at all or if they will keep a hold of him in hope of improving his stock as trade bait, however, given the fact he had anxiety and legal issues, his value is at an all-time low, and whoever acquires him will be buying a high-grade asset for pennies on the dollar, a move that could prove controversial.

Regardless, this will be something to keep an eye on — whether he stays with the Jays or is traded, this move could send ripples throughout the league.
