The Rock's daughter could soon be ready to take the baton from her father and carry on with her family's proud wrestling tradition.

Dwayne Johnson, now one of the biggest actors in Hollywood, enjoyed immense success in the WWE as a third-generation wrestler, with both his father and grandfather involved in the sport during their younger days.

And, as Pro Wrestling Sheet has confirmed, his daughter Simone Johnson has been training part-time at the WWE Performance Center.

Zelina Vega disclosed as much on the latest episode of Lilian Garcia's Chasing Glory podcast, revealing that the 17-year old has undertaken training at the WWE's facility in Orlando Florida.

The SmackDown star worked with The Rock during their filming of upcoming wrestling movie Fighting with My Family and is now presumably close with Simone, who she also reveals told her: “I knew I wanted to start wrestling for sure where I saw you at Raw doing the movie.”

The teenager had already spoken about her ambitions to become a wrestler in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last November.

"It's a sport that is unlike anything else in the world," she said. "There's just a certain amount of passion that every move and match requires, and that's so admirable. It's definitely something I've thought about and want to pursue.

"As much as I love and admire the film industry, I don't see myself pursuing a career in it at the moment. I plan to study business in college — NYU, hopefully — and after graduating, I want to pursue wrestling and eventually transition into talent management."

Pro Wrestling Sheet also reports that a source has told them Simone has been training at the PC for the past few months on a part-time basis but is likely to take up a more serious role in the near future.

Given that she still attends high school, Simone is unable to fully participate. But she could soon take things to the next level with her training and hopefully make daddy proud by forging a path through to the WWE someday.
