Roman Reigns has reportedly started his leukemia treatment recently. However, even discussing a timeframe for his return is still out of the question right now.

Roman Reigns shocked the wrestling world on Raw a few weeks ago. Not by turning on a friend or anything else that was part of an angle. No, Reigns' revelation was much more real and far worse. The former Universal Champion revealed that he had battled and beat leukemia 11 years ago, however, it has now returned.

With that, Reigns was forced to relinquish the Universal Title and step away from WWE. The last we saw of The Big Dog was the video WWE posted online of him hugging fellow Superstars backstage following his announcement. That only makes sense since if there is ever a time in a wrestler's life when they should be given as much privacy as possible, it's right now for Reigns.

This week, Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer has revealed some news on where Reigns is at right now. The former WWE Champion has apparently started the treatment of his leukemia recently. There is also an update on what WWE officials have been discussing in regards to his return. However, there is obviously not a lot to report on that front.

Word backstage at the moment is that a timeframe hasn't even been placed on Reigns' WWE return right now. That's probably because that is currently an impossibility. Reigns himself likely doesn't know how much treatment he is going to need and for how long, so has nothing to report back to Vince McMahon. However, he is still currently scheduled to make an appearance on January 11, 2019, at ACE Comic-Con in Arizona.

For most in Reigns' situation, getting back to work would probably be the last thing on their minds as they undergo cancer treatment. That's probably not the case for Reigns. While he will primarily wants to get better for himself and his family, he will also want to be back in the ring as soon as possible. We're with you on that one, Roman. It might take a long time, but we can't wait to see you wrestle again one day.
