Roman Reigns is set to return to Raw this coming Monday to deliver an update on his condition.

The former Universal Champion has been missing in action since announcing that a previously beaten leukemia had reared its ugly head shortly after defeating Brock Lesnar for the title at SummerSlam last October.

But he is scheduled for an appearance at Raw and a second with Good Morning America next week, hopefully, to deliver good news.

Since stepping away from the ring, The Big Dog has scored a role in the upcoming Fast & Furious spinoff Hobbs & Shaw alongside his cousin, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson; so things appear to be looking up.

According to personal trainer Dave Gonyea, however, fans shouldn't expect to see Reigns back in the ring just yet, although he's been training.

Gonyea was responding to a fan who commented after he posted a photo alongside The Big Dog on Instagram. The fan expressed some skepticism over Reigns returning so soon after his revelation and Gonyea explained that he's still "another few months" out.

“Nah man he’s still recovering," he replied. "He won’t be in action for another few months… keep in mind what leukemia is… and that he has been in remission this was a flair up that he needed treatment for. I was working out with him and he was definitely moving slow. It’s the PG era they aren’t working cancer.”

“Had the absolute honor and privilege of having Roman Reigns train at Island Club and Spa during his stay in Waikiki!" the trainer captioned the photo. "It was very humbling for an athlete of his caliber to not only train here but also speak so very highly of our facility. Glad we provided a great space to help him prepare for his in-ring return!”

What This Means

There's no telling what Reigns will say at this point in time but some theories are being floated around amid the buildup to the star's Raw return next week.

The WWE Universe won't have to wait that much longer to see one of their favorites reappear on the show but the promotion's announcement has made for a nervy weekend.
