WrestleMania 37 is still nearly five months away, but it's not early to speculate on potential main event matches.

As always, the upcoming Royal Rumble pay-per-view (date and location to be determined) will give us several hints in regards to the main event picture for WrestleMania.

Right now, all signs point towards Roman Reigns carrying his Universal Championship into WrestleMania. WWE has given him a massive push as a heel over these last two months, and it's hard to envision him dropping the title before the big show.

Reigns was in the WrestleMania main event four straight years from 2015 to 2018, and it wouldn't be a surprise if he was in that spotlight again for WrestleMania 37.

Sky Bet (h/t Ringside News) listed the betting odds for potential WrestleMania 37 main event matches. Right now, Reigns vs. Big E is the betting favorite at 3/1.

Big E is widely expected to receive a major push after splitting from New Day partners Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston, who were drafted to Raw. And for what it's worth, Big E was recently listed as the betting favorite to win the Royal Rumble at 2/1.

Other favorites to headline WrestleMania 37 include Sasha Banks vs. Bayley (9/2), Edge vs. Randy Orton (5/1), The Rock vs. Reigns (6/1) and Drew McIntyre vs. Orton (12/1).

Several reports have suggested that Edge and Orton will face off for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. Most recently, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that WWE is planning an "I Quit" stipulation for Edge vs. Orton.

WWE can always change their plans between now and WrestleMania, but it certainly wouldn't be a surprise if Reigns vs. Big E or Edge vs. Orton closed out WrestleMania 37. We'll just have to wait and see.

This Would Be Main Event Caliber

It's safe to say that a large portion of the WWE Universe would be pleased with Reigns vs. Big E closing out WrestleMania. The former is enjoying perhaps his greatest run yet as a singles superstar, and Big E is a perennial fan favorite who's long overdue for a main event push. These two would put on quite the match, and Big E walking out as the new Universal Champion would be an unforgettable WrestleMania moment.
