Roman Reigns is set to appear on this week's episode of Monday Night Raw, where he'll update the WWE Universe on his battle with Leukemia.

Other WWE superstars and Triple H have since voiced their support on Twitter for the Big Dog, who will make his first television appearance since he revealed the Leukemia diagnoses four months ago.

There were rumors that Reigns could be cleared for a return to the ring, and that WWE chairman Vince McMahon would try to have him ready for WrestleMania 35. But hold the horses on that excitement, because Reigns isn't anywhere close for action. However, personal trainer Dave Gonyea shut that down on his Instagram page when a fan asked about it.

It's been four months since Reigns addressed the WWE Universe to reveal that he was battling Leukemia. He relinquished the Universal Championship and said he'd be out of action for a while, though Reigns promised he'd come back strong and emphasized he'll wrestle again. Retirement is not on the table with Reigns, it's just a matter of when the Big Dog will get back into the ring.

Things have changed aplenty in WWE since Reigns had to step away to deal with Leukemia. The Shield broke up, and Seth Rollins is set to challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania. It'll be the first time in five years where Reigns doesn't headline the big show.

Reigns has been pushed as the main face of WWE over the past five years, so his absence is being greatly felt by fellow superstars and fans. The good news is that recovery is going well, and Reigns will be back in the ring at some point.

What This Means

It's great to see WWE superstars and employees voice support for Reigns as he makes another emotional appearance in front of the fans. It's been a long battle for the former world champion, but Reigns is making plenty of progress and will be back in the ring before we know it. Hopefully, he's able to provide even more good news on Monday.
