A Tweet by Charlotte Fliar may indicate WWE is looking to create a romance angle between her and Bobby Roode.

It's a tale as old as time in the WWE. The Macho Man and Miss Elizabeth, John Cena and Nikki Bella, Mike and Maria Kanellis, Rusev and Lana, and others have made romances between WWE Superstars a popular storyline. Some of these relationships are real and some of them are just for the cameras, but all tend to have the WWE Universe watching to see how these romances will play out on screen. WWE is at it again, this time potentially using Charlotte Flair and Bobby Roode to tell another romantic story.

WWE has been hinting on recent episodes of the Mixed Match Challenge and SmackDown Live that there may be more to the partnership between Charlotte and Roode than a simple tag team alliance. This past Tuesday, Charlotte found herself in the midst of a potential beatdown by Ruby Riott and the Riott Squad when Roode's music hit and put a stop to the potential disaster. As a result, WWE is playing up the idea that Charlotte may have a thing Roode.

The caption is from the song "The Boy is Mine," by Brandy & Monica, leaving many in the WWE Universe wondering if romance could be brewing between the two. To make matters even more interesting, WWE.com hopped on the story, suggesting it could be the begging of some kind of relationship.

Is this the beginning of a love interest storyline between Roode and Charlotte? Roode has his handsful as he'll be heading to WrestleMania 34 and defending his U.S. Title versus Randy Orton. Perhaps a romance is not on the top of his priority list. Or, perhaps Roode is interested as the two have been flirting on and off of social media and television promoting their partnership in the Mixed Match Challenge and calling themselves the "Robe Warriors".

The Riott Squad has threatened to deface Roode's robe and that's perhaps the last thing he needs as he tries to keep his eyes squarely focused on his WrestleMania opponent(s). How will all of this translate into storylines on SmackDown Live? The next couple weeks should really demonstrate where WWE plans to go with this idea.
