Despite being on the main roster for two and half years longer, Becky Lynch has had fewer singles match at PPVs than Ronda Rousey.

It's probably safe to say that the women's Royal Rumble match panned out exactly the way most fans would have wanted it to last week. Becky Lynch tapped out to Asuka at the beginning of the night, but she was standing tall after managing to get herself a spot in the Rumble. From there, she went on to outlast the other Superstars and book her spot at WrestleMania.

While Lynch didn't make her choice as to which title she wanted to challenge for, it was really no secret. 24 hours later, The Man invaded Raw, by herself this time, and informed Ronda Rousey that she wants her title. While The Rowdy One could feasibly lose the title between now and April 7, WWE is advertising that it will be Lynch versus Rousey at WrestleMania.

The pair's paths to WrestleMania have been extremely different. Lynch highlighted another way in which that is true on Twitter over the weekend. The Man revealed that she has only wrestled six singles PPV matches in WWE, the latest of which took place at Royal Rumble. Meanwhile, Rousey has wrestled seven. Considering the amount of time Lynch has been a WWE Superstar compared to Rousey, that's a staggering difference.

To put it into perspective, Lynch debuted on Raw all the way back in July of 2015. The Man's first singles match on PPV wouldn't happen for six months, a losing effort to Charlotte Flair at Royal Rumble 2016. Meanwhile, Rousey made her WWE debut at WrestleMania 34 in a tag match, less than a year ago, and wrestled in a singles match at a PPV two and half months later.

Lynch not being given singles matches at PPVs is technically what started this current run she is on. Flair was inserted into her match with Carmella at last year's SummerSlam. After The Queen won, Lynch snapped. The irony is that's exactly what might happen at WrestleMania. Even though Rousey versus Lynch seems like the best option, there is a very real chance that Flair is added to the match.
