Ronda Rousey reportedly broke her hand during the main event of WrestleMania 35.

WrestleMania 35 took place on Sunday and for the first time ever, female Superstars closed the show. As always for WrestleMania main eventers in the modern era, the three women were tasked with rousing fans who had already been watching for more than seven hours. Since their history-making match followed on from a gripping brawl last week on Raw, that was never going to be a problem.

Charlotte Flair, Ronda Rousey, and Becky Lynch have been giving off the impression that they want to tear each other apart for months. That showed on Sunday night. The trio went about picking each other apart, all while attempting to prove that they belonged in the biggest match of the year. Mission accomplished if you ask us, even if the finish was a little strange.

It has been rumored for a while that Rousey would be leaving WWE after WrestleMania. Not only does her losing the match perhaps clarify that, but she will now have to take some time off whether she likes it or not. That's due to the fact that at some point during the match, Rousey broke her hand. Dave Meltzer first reported the news on Wrestling Observer Radio, describing the former champ's hand as being "severely broken."

We could tell from the marks on all three women that they were really laying it in, but we're not sure exactly when Rousey would have broken her hand. Plus, although anyone injuring themselves so severely is not in the slightest bit funny, it's ironic that Rousey's gimmick has been to call wrestling fake, then this happens. As you can imagine, The Man has already been having fun with it.

Shortly after the news of Rousey's broken hand well, broke, Lynch jumped on Twitter. The new Undisputed Women's Champion tweeted "Ronda broke her hand punching the face that she said broke too easy." A good point well made. In the grand scheme of things for Rousey's time in WWE, a broken hand won't change much. She wasn't advertised for any shows after tonight, and we may never see her compete in a WWE ring again, broken hand or not.
