According to a recent report, Ronda Rousey didn't perform in singles action on the European Tour to protect her.

At WrestleMania, the videos of Ronda Rousey training before her scheduled mixed tag team match was much more than a publicity stunt, as Rousey showed in that match that she was very serious in transitioning from a UFC star to endeavoring in a WWE career. Despite it being her very first match, Rousey accentuated the theatrical portion of her persona, keeping the fans intrigued with her cat-and-mouse moments with Stephanie McMahon.

In addition, Rousey looked poised during the execution of her moves, and even showed Triple H her toughness by giving him an armbar as well. Kurt Angle certainly did his part to make the match successful, along with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. However, many fans in attendance and watching throughout the world would agree that Rousey did a great job holding her own.

To capitalize on this momentum, WWE scheduled a Raw Women's Championship match between Rousey and Nia Jax to occur at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view. While fans were high on Rousey following WrestleMania, that feeling soured when the title match was announced following the confrontation at the NBC Universal Upfront event.

Coupled with Rousey never competing in a singles match, but catapulting up to becoming number one contender, both Rousey and Jax are babyfaces, which makes the dynamic weird since there is no backstory behind it.

To make matters even odder, WWE decided to put Rousey in a six-man tag team match, alongside Ember Moon and Natalya, against Mickie James, Ruby Riott, and Liv Morgan.

According to the Wrestling Observer Radio, the reason why WWE was putting Rousey in the six-woman tag matches is due to not believe she is ready to be in singles action yet. Moreover, based on the way the matches during the European tour were booked, WWE wants Rousey to remain protected, and hide her weakness to keep her strong as a top name.

Still, Rousey is supposed to face Jax at Money in the Bank for the championship in her first singles match of her career. Of course, the pressure is on, and Jax may not be the best person to dance with this early in her career. A screwy finish may be the only sensible option, particularly since WWE wants to protect Rousey and putting the title on her my will be grossly premature.
