Ronda Rousey's current WWE contract expires the night after WrestleMania 35 and apparently, there is a very real chance she doesn't sign a new one.

At the time of typing this, we are just three days away from this year's Royal Rumble. That means it has been almost a year since Ronda Rousey first appeared on WWE television. Well, not including her cameo at WrestleMania 31. Rousey has come so far in 12 months that it feels as if she has been a WWE Superstar for much longer than that.

Since wrestling her first match at WrestleMania 34, Rousey has taken on the likes of Nia Jax, Natalya, and Charlotte Flair. Plus, at SummerSlam, she defeated Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women's Champion. For years, Kurt Angle has been the benchmark when it comes to how quickly someone has adapted to the wrestling business. Rousey might well have changed that.

Rousey has even committed to the business. While some expected her to have a Brock Lesnar type deal and hardly ever show up, that has not been the case at all. Rousey has not only appeared on almost every episode of Raw since she won the title, she has competed on most of them too. However, The Rowdy One's WWE tenure might come to an end a lot sooner than most of us are expecting.

According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Rousey's last match with WWE could be at WrestleMania 35. "There is a very good chance that Ronda Rousey will be finishing up with WWE at WrestleMania," WON reported this week. As it stands, it looks like Rousey will be defending the Raw Women's Title against Becky Lynch, and possibly Charlotte Flair, in the main event that night.

Rousey reportedly signed a one year contract with WWE in 2018, and that contract ends the night after WrestleMania. The UFC Hall Of Famer has said on numerous occasions that she wants to start a family with her husband, something she will struggle to do if she continues to wrestle full time. WWE will do whatever it can to keep her tied to the company though, especially with SmackDown Live moving to Fox later this year.
