A recent rumor suggests that Ronda Rousey versus Natalya was supposed to take place at WrestleMania 35, not on this week's Raw.

WrestleMania 35 might still be more than three months away but fans have been speculating as to what the main event might be ever since this year's 'Mania came to a close. With each passing day, it looks more and more likely that for the first time ever, female Superstars will headline the biggest show in WWE's calendar.

If the women do get the chance they currently deserve, which ones will be selected to fill the rarest slots in wrestling? One of them will almost definitely be rightfully awarded to Ronda Rousey. While she hasn't been around for long, she is the main reason the women's division has been taken to the next level. Her star power was the final ingredient needed.

Who will be opposite of The Rowdy One? Well, the most likely scenario is some combination of Rousey, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair. Considering what went down at TLC, a triple threat between all three of them may be on the cards. We are certainly down for that. However, according to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE's original plan was to have neither The Queen nor The Man take on Rousey at WrestleMania.

WON reported this week that WWE originally wanted Rousey to take on Natalya on The Grandest Stage of them All. It has been a running theme that the two of them are good friends behind the scenes and at one time it seemed as if WWE was building to the pair turning on each other. However, those plans changed, probably around the time that Nattie's father Jim Neidhart passed away.

While that turn and that match could still happen at WrestleMania, it is extremely unlikely. Especially since Rousey and Nattie did battle for the Raw Women's Title on Christmas Eve. No offense to Natalya but if WWE wants a women's main event at WrestleMania 35, it needs to be bigger than Rousey versus Nattie. With Lynch and Flair in the mix, there is a much bigger chance of that dream being realized.
