It appears that Ronda Rousey isn't as distant from WWE as you might think.

The female star showed up to FOX Upfronts on Monday to promote SmackDown's upcoming move to the network this October, per Xfinity's David Onda.

The former Raw Women's champion relinquished her title at WrestleMania 35 last month, losing the main event to Becky Lynch in a triple threat match also involving Charlotte Flair.

Rousey suffered a broken hand on the night and has been away from WWE programming since then, having undergone surgery. Her plans to star up a family are also thought to be responsible for her hiatus, but she's clearly still affiliated with the company given Monday's appearance.

“As for WWE plans in the future. We want to have a baby first," Ronda said shortly after WrestleMania. "I don’t know what it’s like to have a baby, I could look down at this beautiful child and be like, ‘F*ck everything. I don’t care about anything else but this baby and you’ll never see me again.’ Or, I could be like my mom who — she trained while she was eight months pregnant and then won the U.S. Open six weeks after giving birth, which was unbelievable.

"I don’t think I’m gonna try and aspire to her level but I’m just saying, you never know.”

Despite her plans, the former UFC champion made an appearance at the FOX event, joining John Cena.

Her future with the company is still unknown but it's worth noting that she's contracted to the promotion until 2021, so a return is quite likely.

What This Means

Many took Ronda's Upfronts appearance to mean that she could soon be back, but it's also likely that WWE just used the pair because all of the other top stars who are still active are currently on a European tour.

While she remains under contract with the company, Rousey is likely to remain inactive for some time. Let's hope that she's already with child.
