Ronda Rousey has become the first woman to hold titles in both WWE and UFC by winning the Raw Women's Championship.

Ronda Rousey has made quite the impact in WWE. Yes, the whole point of Vince McMahon signing her in the first place was because of her name value, but her time with the company to date has gone better than anyone could have possibly imagined. It's hard to believe that the former UFC Champion has only been a WWE Superstar for eight months.

In that time, Rousey has taken to pro wrestling like a duck to water. She stole the show at WrestleMania, and then came extremely close to winning the Raw Women's Title in her first ever singles match. In fact, it was only a Money In The Bank cash-in by Alexa Bliss that stopped Rousey accomplishing that goal. That's why their match at SummerSlam was just as much about revenge as it was about gold.

Well, Rousey got both. The Rowdy One dominated her five-foot high opponent, even sitting with her back to Bliss and her eyes shut at one point to give her a chance. Even that didn't help the now former champ. WWE's Goddess tried to synch in a choke on Rousey at that point, only for the challenger to continue throwing her around as if she were merely a ragdoll.

The climax of the match came when Rousey began to threaten Bliss with her patented armbar. If you didn't know, Bliss has the odd ability to make her arm look as if it is dislocated or broken. That came in handy at SummerSlam as it made it seem as if Rousey was literally about to bend Bliss's arm in half. The former champion eventually tapped which means Raw now has a new Queen.

Rousey's win means she is the first woman in history to have held championships in both WWE and UFC. The scenes after the match were pretty emotional too. Rousey celebrated with The Bella Twins, her husband who was at ringside, and her good friend Natalya who was in attendance despite losing her father, Jim 'The Anvil' Neidhart just a week ago. Perhaps Nattie and Rousey's on-screen dynamic will shift now that the latter has the title, and maybe we will even see a championship match between the two.
