Only 14 months ago, Rosa Mendes decided to retire from WWE and the sport of the wrestling in order to focus her attention on her child as well as her company, Totally Fit Mama.

Now it looks like Mendes is already making a comeback. She recently did an interview with the Pancakes and Powerslams Show (via Wrestling Inc.) and explained that she ended up regretting her decision to retire because wasn't able to fulfill her dream of being a part of a five-star match.

Mendes admitted that it would be hard for her to tell her daughter to go after her dreams, when she failed to achieve hers by retiring early.

"I feel like when I retired, I had a little bit of regret that I wasn't in the ring enough," said Mendes. "Actually, a lot of regret. My father was in the ICU recently, and on his deathbed and he was on life support. And, at the same time, Bobby [Schubenski] had a separation. So, it was one of those moments in my life where I looked at my father, and he was dying, and I thought to myself, I don't ever want to have any regrets. I don't ever want to be in a position where I'm laying here just like my dad, and that I never fulfilled my dream of having a five-star match in the ring. And I've never felt that. And I have a daughter now, and I never want her to have any regrets.

"So, I'm looking at her and raising her, and how could I tell her to do something that I didn't do? How could I tell her, 'Follow your dreams, do everything you've ever wanted and have no fear,' when I didn't do that in my life. So basically... that kind of snapped in my head, and I was like, I have to go back in the ring. I have to. What's the match that I could back, and even if I won or lost, I gave it everything I had and I'm proud of myself. And I can't say that right now. So, that's the reason why I'm going back, and I'm working harder than I ever have in my whole entire life."

When asked which wrestler she would like to face off against when she makes her comeback, Mendes said Charlotte.

Mendes sat down for an interview with Press Box Online just a couple of months ago and admitted that she missed being in the ring, so the fact that she's making a return shouldn't surprise anyone.

"I miss the WWE fans and my co-workers more than anything. Deciding to retire was one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make in my life.," she said.

She also said that she continues to watch WWE shows with her two year-old daughter.

"I absolutely love it," said Mendes. "My daughter is only 2 and she's watching these strong, athletic role models. I'm happy that she will grow up looking up to them. She loves the matches and jumps up and down with excitement."

Mendes went on to say that she still keeps in contact with everyone she's worked with throughout her career.

Mendes' career with WWE started in 2006 when she competed in the Diva Search tournament. She was a part of numerous storylines and one in particular involved Beth Phoenix.

She also spent time with Ohio Valley Wrestling before making her WWE debut and ended up winning the OVW Women's Championship belt.

If WWE is going to sign Mendes, I think she'll first have to prove herself on the indie circuit, given the fact that they've signed other females wrestlers over the past year that have replaced her on their roster.

As of right now, Mendes has been training at the MCW Performance Center. So she's obviously serious about resurrecting her career.

Mendes is still only 38 years-old and could make her way back to WWE after only taking just over a year off.

I wouldn't count her out when it comes to Mendes possibly working for WWE again. She's not only motivated by her dreams, but also by the fact that she wants to show her daughter that she can achieve her goals.
