Ronda Rousey Revealed As Pre-Order Character for WWE2K19

During Monday's broadcast of Raw, WWE confirmed that Ronda Rousey is set to make her first appearance in a WWE video game as the newest pre-order character for WWE2K19.

Rousey will join Rey Mysterio (recently rumored to have signed a new deal with WWE) as two of the announced pre-order bonuses for the game. Rousey, officially on her first run as a WWE Superstar is an easy choice for WWE2K as she's arguably the most popular female competitor ever to step foot inside a WWE ring and despite only having a couple matches, has quickly caught on and impressed fans with her desire to be the best and prove she deserves a spot at the top of the WWE Women's Division.

A video promoting the announcement aired and WWE also officially promoted the news on their social media pages including the Twitter post below:

For fans of WWE2K, Rousey has probably been made up as a character countless times by players in the community creations section but this will be the first time WWE officially makes her a character for the game. Rousey and Mysterio be available four days prior to the October 9 release date when the game will be available for purchase on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

During the promo that aired on Monday, there were no screenshots or images of what her character will look like during in-game play but she has been a character in 2K's UFC games in the past. It is expected this will be the benchmark and that her iconic "Rowdy" gear, including the skirt and leather jacket will likely be a feature of her design concept.

WWE2K is already a highly anticipated game for gamers and an announcement a few weeks ago showed that "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles would be gracing the cover of the game itself. It wouldn't surprise anyone if it were ever announced that WWE had considered Rousey for the cover, but a pre-order bonus should suit fans of the game just fine.

Rousey is currently serving a storyline suspension on Raw but is expected to be at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view this Sunday.
