The Royal Rumble is almost here being broadcasted live from Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, starting at 7:00 p.m. ET with the kickoff show starting at 8:00 p.m. ET. Fans can catch the action on the WWE Network.

Brock Lesnar vs Braun Strowman vs Kane for the Universal Championship

via wwe.com

The Universal Title match taking place at this Sunday's Royal Rumble guarantees just one thing, destruction. Whenever any combination of these three men runs into each other in recent weeks chaos has ensued. From scaffolding being pulled down to furniture being destroyed. The one man of the three who has been responsible for most of that destruction is The Monster Among Men. While it is expected Brock Lesnar will retain so that he can go on to defend his championship against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, it's hard to see how exactly the Beast and The Big Red Machine will keep The Monster down. If Lesnar is going to win then the cover will likely be made on Kane.

AJ Styles vs Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn for the WWE Championship

This title match may also have three competitors, but it has had a very different build to the one detailed above. Thanks to AJ Styles talking before thinking about what he was going to say, he has landed himself in a two-on-one handicap match for his WWE Championship. The Phenomenal One said that he might as well take on both KO and Zayn at the same time so that he can keep an eye on them, and Daniel Bryan granted his wish. What's most interesting about this one is that Zayn and Owens have said that if they win they will be the first ever co-WWE Champions. We guess that bridge will be crossed if we come to it.

The 30 Person Men's Royal Rumble Match

via wwe.com

The men's Royal Rumble match may prove to be more exciting this year than it has been for a while. Going into this match a lot of the time, the eventual winner can be one that is easily predicted. This year, not so much. Big names such as John Cena and Finn Balor have declared their entry into the match and either of those men could win the whole thing, but so could so many others. Cena and Elias will likely clash in the match somehow, as will Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy. There is also the very real chance that WWE has not learned their lesson from the last time the Rumble was in Philadelphia and Roman Reigns is the last man standing by the end of the night.

The 30 Person Women's Royal Rumble Match

What's perhaps even more exciting than the highly anticipated men's Royal Rumble match is the first ever women's Royal Rumble. For the first time, 30 females will compete in the over the top rope epic with the winner getting a title opportunity at WrestleMania 34. One of the best things about Royal Rumbles are the surprise entrants, and this match is likely to have an abundance of them. All of the fully fit, nontitle holding female Superstars on Raw and SmackDown Live will be competing in the match, but that still leaves 12 spots left to fill. Who we see return in this one will only add to the excitement of it being the best first yet for WWE's women.

The Usos vs Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin in a 2 out of 3 Falls Match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships

via wwe.com

SmackDown Live feels like it is in something of a lull right now. Well, not all of it. The blue brand's tag division is currently thriving. The Usos and The New Day led the way with their terrific series of matches over the summer and the majority of the blue brand's teams have attempted to answer the call and step up there with them. Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin floundered a little to begin with, but now, they're right there with them, and Sunday at the Royal Rumble could be their night. The two-out-of-three falls match between the two teams will be a long one, but if all goes to plan it could very well steal the show.

Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan vs The Bar for the Raw Tag Team Championships

via wwe.com

There have been plenty of odd couple Tag Team Title holders in WWE history, and right now on Raw, we have another tandem to add to that long list. When Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan won the championships, it likely left a lot of fans rolling their eyes. Somehow though, they have made it work. WWE has turned Jordan into the annoying, self-entitled Superstar rather than pushing him Roman Reigns-style and it is currently making for an entertaining dynamic between him and The Architect. Whether they manage to make that dynamic work again or not at the Royal Rumble, the fall out will be can't miss on Raw the following Monday.
