Rumor: WWE Women's Superstar Undergoes 'Enhancement' Surgery

Alexa Bliss has been notably absent on WWE's tour of South Africa, and a recent report says that she is recovering from a recent cosmetic surgery.

The WWE is currently on a tour of South Africa and heading on over to Saudi Arabia for the Greatest Royal Rumble at the end of the week. One of the names not on that tour is former Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss. The rumored reason for her absence is that she's having a cosmetic procedure done. What exactly is being done has been debated and speculated as a breast augmentation surgery.

Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Live that Alexa Bliss might have already gotten the surgery done with Brad Shepard of Bodyslam.net saying, “she had a boob job. She isn’t cleared to wrestle yet."

However, Post Wrestling is reporting that Bliss only had “minor cosmetic surgery” following WrestleMania and that the reports are her being out of action are overblown, Bliss not missing any real time and ready to return right away. Bliss is set to be a part of WWE's Backlash event on May 6th but because WWE has not announced much in the way of matches or feuds, there is uncertainty as to the role she'll be playing. WWE has been focused on the Saudi Arabia show so much of what's happening at Backlash is up in the air.

Most have suggested that any breast augmentation surgery required six weeks of recovery time (at least for someone hopping back in the ring). If Bliss has a match or is in the ring prior to May 6th, that would rule out implants as it would fall within the six-week window.

The concept of a wrestler in today's WWE getting breast augmentation surgery is quite foreign. During the Attitude Era, almost every female Superstar was going under the knife, but with the Women's Revolution and the new way of WWE pushing female talent, it's no longer expected and almost odd that a female Superstar might want to go this route.

Bliss has a legion of fans who love her for her personality, attitude, mic skills, in-ring work and looks. If this is something she's doing, it's not likely because of any pressure put on her to do so.
