Brock Lesnar is set to defend his Universal Championship against Roman Reigns once again at this month's SummerSlam pay-per-view, and don't think just yet that the Beast Incarnate is on his way out of WWE.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, "all indications are" that Lesnar prefers "to continually sign short-term deals, feeling that with both UFC and WWE coming into huge sums of money," and being a free agent is the best route for him.

As Meltzer unsurprisingly noted, the indications are that Reigns will defeat Lesnar, though Braun Strowman could cash in his Money in the Bank contract. If Lesnar were done with the WWE, this would be the way for him to go out, but Meltzer is emphasizing that there's no "lock" of him exiting the business.

Lesnar's future with the WWE has been in question for most of 2018. Many believed he would lose to Reigns at WrestleMania 34, then leave the WWE with his contract expiring later in the year. However, WWE announced in April that Lesnar had signed a new deal, though it was only a short-term one.

At UFC 226 last month, Lesnar challenged Daniel Cormier for his UFC Heavyweight Championship. President Dana White has confirmed multiple times that Lesnar will return to the promotion soon.

On top of that, Lesnar has been tested three times by the USADA, according to their official website. Thus, all signs are pointing to a Lesnar return to the octagon, and it sounds like he's not prepared to leave the WWE any time soon.

Many fans and WWE writers have been critical of WWE putting the Universal title on a part-timer like Lesnar. But at the end of the day, he's one of the world's most marketable athletes, and makes huge money for both himself and the WWE.

Like it or not, WWE doesn't want to lose Lesnar, and we know they'll pay him whatever he wants to stay. And it sounds like Lesnar isn't planning to leave the WWE, despite previous reports.
