[Rumor] Johnny Gargano Permanently Says Goodbye To NXT Fans In Video

After a grueling bout between Johnny Gargano and Adam Cole, Gargano stuck around after the pay-per-view ended to say goodbye to NXT fans.

Fans who watched NXT Takeover: Toronto on Saturday watched a great pay-per-view. That said, they watched an incredible main event and instant classic between Adam Cole and Johnny Gargano. Cole ended up hanging onto the NXT Championship but the news coming out of the match is all about Johnny Wrestling.

In a video posted by NXT on Twitter, Gargano and his wife Candice LeRae stuck around in the ring after the bout was over and the PPV off the air to wave goodbye to fans. There wasn't news heading into the event that Gargano was primed to be called up to the WWE main roster but he has been there before. Should he be leaving NXT and heading to Raw or SmackDown Live, this won't be the first time fans have seen him there. Part of a tag team with Tomasso Ciampa, his first run came to an end when Ciampa got hurt.

Was this a goodbye? Or, was this just Gargano sticking around to appreciate what the fans in Toronto were dishing out after such an incredible attempt to win NXT's big prize?

What This Means

If Gargano is done in NXT, it will be seen as interesting timing. There is news all over the Internet that NXT might move to FS1 in October and the brand will certainly need big stars when it heads to network cable. It's also interesting because speculation is that Vince McMahon is more involved in NXT with the potential move to a two-hour live show.

Fans won't love the idea of NXT losing one of its best stars. That said, Gargano has certainly earned a promotion.
