If it feels like Neville's future with WWE has been up in the air for months, well it has.

Neville hasn't been seen on TV since October of 2017. Things changed for him after he lost the Cruiserweight Championship to Enzo Amore at No Mercy in September 2017, despite the fact that Amore cheated and defeated him with a low blow.

Since then, Neville made it clear to WWE that he wasn't happy with his role and that is why we haven't seen him since October last year.

At one point, there was a belief that WWE would force Neville to sit out until his contract expires after both sides sat down and tried to work something out, but were unable to do so.

Now, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that WWE and Neville are willing to once again work things out and that he could return as soon as April. They clearly still want to work something out and use him going forward.

With Enzo Amore now gone after allegedly raping a woman, WWE would be smart to carve out a role for Neville, he is the reason that the Cruiserweight Championship started to take off within the company last year.

WWE will be naming a new Cruiserweight Champion at WrestleMania 34, so bringing back Neville in April would make a lot of sense. Hopefully, they can work things out over the course of the next few weeks.

As of right now though, we don't know what's going to happen between both Neville and WWE, since neither side has actually come out and commented on the situation.

With 205 Live now under the direction of Triple H, there is a chance that Neville could flourish with WWE, despite their differences over the past several months.
