[Rumor] WWE Decides On Name For Saudi Arabia Show

Speculation is that WWE has come up with a name for the Saudi Arabia show in June, and yes, it's just as silly as you might expect it would be.

While WWE hasn't promoted any particular matches, fans know the next Saudi Arabia show is coming. Set to take place on June 7, 2019, from the city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, the event is getting plenty of buzz. While some of the talk is good and some bad, the latest development is somewhat odd.

According to a very popular (and often accurate) Twitter wrestling news breaker, @Wrestlevotes, WWE may have chosen a name for the event. WWE.com has the show listed as "WWE PPV Jeddah" but an official name change is expected to come and that name could be "WWE Sands of Time."

Yes, WWE is going to settle on a name that sounds like it's half soap opera and half pop song.

WWE Sands of Time will be the third WWE Network special from Saudi Arabia. The company signed a 10-year big money commitment with The Saudi General Sports Authority and while the deal is extremely lucrative, it hasn't come without controversy.

This third event has confirmed a number of names including The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar. It will also feature some of WWE's biggest mainstream and regular roster talents including Kofi Kingston, Seth Rollins, Braun Strowman and AJ Styles.

There may be some names that don't wind up attending the show and women wrestling on the card is still very much a question mark with it not being permitted in the past.

What This Means

By the time the show rolls around, the name won't be all that important but leave it to WWE to choose something so corny. In the midst of scrutiny over poor writing, Superstars wanting to leave, writers quitting and a rival promotion making major ground, something as unimportant as the name of a PPV won't likely even register on WWE's radar.
