Rusev's Rusev Day gimmick has become so popular that fans attending shows hosted by other promotions have started chanting it.

Every now and again, something random in WWE grabs the attention and the imagination of the fans despite Vince McMahon and his creative not necessarily being proponents of it. The most famous case of this happening is, of course, Daniel Bryan and his "Yes Movement." The latest example, however, is the team of Rusev and Aiden English and them spreading the good word about Rusev Day.

The Bulgarian Brute himself recently revealed that the tandem was initially intended to be a joke, however, it has unintentionally become so much more than that. Rusev Day chants have been filling arena up and down the United States and not just when Rusev and English are in the ring. It happens during segments they're not involved in and even on Raw despite them being SmackDown Live Superstars.

The chants have now transcended the WWE Universe. At a Ring Of Honor show on Saturday night, fans started up the chant despite the fact neither Rusev nor Aiden English never competed for the promotion. The video of the chant posted on Twitter even caught the attention of Rusev himself who simply retweeted it and wrote "interesting."

Higher-ups at WWE are doing what they so often do in situations like this by pretending that they're listening to the fans. Despite Shane McMahon saying "duly noted" to fans who were chanting Rusev Day on SmackDown Live a few weeks ago the former United States Champion hasn't had a match on the show for a whole month. He also has no scheduled match at the blue brand's upcoming pay-per-view Fastlane.

In situations like these, there comes a breaking point where something has to give. Either WWE creative will cave to the demand of the fans and put Rusev and Aiden English in a high profile program or The Bulgarian Brute will cut loose and try his luck elsewhere. He and his wife Lana have not been afraid to let their feelings be known on social media and judging by Saturday night's chant the ROH fans would be more than happy to see Rusev compete for them.
