Rusev and John Cena had a fantastic rivalry leading into WrestleMania 31, and since that point, John has gone on to become one of the biggest movie stars in Hollywood. But if you ask his old rival, The Bulgarian Brute, he isn’t quite as sold on Cena’s abilities as a star in the movie world.
While on a Bulgarian talk show this past week, Rusev was chatting with the host about his career, and Cena was mentioned, as the host was talking up Cena’s abilities as a movie star and what a draw he’s become in Hollywood. But let’s just say, Rusev’s reaction is hilarious, and makes us believe he isn’t exactly on the same page as the host.
To say that The Bulgarian Brute was dismissive of Cena’s work in Hollywood is quite an understatement, and as he is technically a heel and an old rival of Cena’s (that’s what brought his name into the conversation), it’s good to see his reaction, as it’s both hilarious and keeps him portraying his character. However, we have to disagree with Rusev here, as we may not enjoy all of Cena’s movies, but it’s hard to deny that he’s definitely improved as an actor. With Batista and The Rock both getting more gigs, we can definitely see John keeping up with them. He’s still got a few more feuds to go in the WWE before he walks away permanently, but life after WWE is going to be great for Cena, as he has all the potential in the world to be one of the biggest actors in Hollywood if he desires.
