First The Undertaker was taking on Rusev at the Greatest Royal Rumble, then he was replaced with Chris Jericho, now Rusev is back in again.

The case of what is going on between Rusev and WWE continues to get more and more curious. The Lion Of Bulgaria has been very open about his feelings on his current placement in the company on social media for a number of months now. However, as of right now, the former United States Champion once again has a landmark casket match to look forward to against The Undertaker.

The match was initially announced last week and came seemingly out of nowhere. Shortly after it was announced Rusev wrote on Twitter "bury me softly, brother" and his wife Lana vociferously protested her husband's placement in the match. 24 hours after the announcement, Chris Jericho took Rusev's place and WWE played up that the switch had been made per Lana's request.

Fast forward four more days, and the match has been changed once again. Y2J has been removed from the match and the original plan is now going ahead. Lana tweeted on Monday that she had changed her mind about her husband's participation in the casket match and a short while after, it was announced on WWE.com that it indeed will be The Undertaker versus Rusev in Saudi Arabia on April 27, 2018.

Clearly, there is a lot more going on beneath the surface here, but who knows what that might be. Apparently, Rusev threatened to request his release from WWE prior to WrestleMania, so perhaps conversations to that end have continued. Aside from everything else, Y2J must be a little peeved since a casket match is one of the few match types that he still hasn't competed in during his long and illustrious career.

So, as of right now, the plan is for Rusev and The Undertaker to go head to head in a casket match. The Greatest Royal Rumble is still 10 days away though, so who knows what might happen between now and then. All that seems to be guaranteed about this match right now is that it will feature The Undertaker and a casket. Who he stands opposite of in Jeddah is anyone's guess as Rusev/Lana/WWE may change their mind once again.
