Rusev was set to face The Undertaker in a casket match at the upcoming Greatest Royal Rumble pay-per-view in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in two weeks, but he was replaced by Chris Jericho instead.

But before the announcement was made, Rusev was talking trash about The Deadman - who's coming off a WrestleMania 34 victory over John Cena. The Bulgarian Brute told TMZ Sports that "Undertaker is a little bit in the past. I'll beat him so bad it may be his last fight."

That caught the attention of Michelle McCool - Undertaker's wife of eight years. She defended her husband and took an epic shot at Rusev on Twitter:

Things have gotten even more confusing with Rusev over the past two days. It was pointed out by a smart man on Twitter that the WWE edited out "Rusev Day" chants during this week's episode of SmackDown Live:

After Jericho was announced as Rusev's replacement in the casket match, the Bulgarian Brute proceeded to delete all WWE references from his Twitter account. Rusev also doesn't follow any of the WWE accounts (pointed out by Cagesideseats.com). He also had this cryptic tweet to share:

It appears as though Rusev's future with the WWE is truly in question. It's worth adding that Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com recently reported that Rusev was added to the United States Championship match at WrestleMania 34 because the Bulgarian Brute asked for his release.

WWE seemingly did this to prevent him from growing unhappy and leaving the promotion. However, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter said that Rusev was added because his merchandise sales are skyrocketing.

So nobody really seems to know what to believe with Rusev right now. Is he truly unhappy with WWE and signalling the end of his run there, or is this all part of a storyline act? The truth shall be revealed in the coming days or weeks.
