Sasha Banks Injured: Mix Match Challenge Forced To Reshuffle Again

WWE announced Friday that Sasha Banks has been pulled from the Mixed Match Challenge with an undisclosed injury and will be replaced with Mickie James as Bobby Lashley's new partner.

It's unknown how severe Banks' injury is, and when she suffered it. Season 2 of the Mixed Match Challenge premiered on Tuesday. Alexa Bliss was replaced by Ember Moon as Braun Strowman's partner, due to an arm injury sustained in her SummerSlam title match with Ronda Rousey.

Banks has stayed healthy throughout the entirety of her WWE career, having not missed any significant time with an injury. We continue to await and see what the injury is, and hopefully it's not one that will keep her out long-term.

The other tag teams for the Mixed Match Challenge on the Raw brand are Moon and Strowman, Bayley with Finn Balor, Alicia Fox and Jinder Mahal, and Natalya with Kevin Owens.

Banks was teamed with Balor in the last Mixed Match Challenge, but they lost to The Miz and Asuka in the quarterfinals. Miz and The Empress of Tomorrow would go on to defeat Bobby Roode and Charlotte Flair in the finals.

The Legit Boss has slowly moved out of the main event spotlight on Raw, as Rousey's feud with Bliss, Fox and James continues to be the top feud in the women's division. In the meantime, Banks and Bayley began a storyline feud which culminated in them putting the differences behind after seeing a counselor. They have since formed 'The Boss 'N' Hug Connection' tag team.

With Banks possibly sidelined for several weeks, it means Bayley will probably have to endure singles competition for the time being. A possible feud with The Riott Squad could be rekindled, or perhaps Bayley will work with somebody else for the time being.
