Santino Marella had a WWE career that involved two Intercontinental Championship reigns and a series of Cobra Strikes that gave the fans a good laugh every now and then.

Though the former United States Champion announced his in-ring retirement last year, the Marella wrestling family may just be getting started once again. In a recent interview with Pro Wrestling Sheet, Santino's daughter, Bianca Carelli, revealed that she's beginning to train for a career in wrestling.

Carelli has been training extensively in not only wrestling but MMA as well, spending at least 15 hours a week at the Battle Arts Academy in Mississauga, Ontario. She's also been active at the Tyson Dux wrestling school.

In the interview, Carelli said that her father "is big on mental strength." She also revealed that Marella is a former Canadian Judo champion and that she's ecstatic about taking up the sport.

Carelli also added that wrestling wasn't always her dream. Rather, she was more into sports and theater, then came to notice that she could put that all into use for a potential wrestling career.

There is no shortage of female talents in the WWE who have opted to follow a relative's footsteps. Former SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair is the daughter of the legendary Ric 'The Nature Boy' Flair, and many consider her the face of the female wrestling division right now.

Also, Natalya has done just fine living up to the Hart family legacy, having been inspired by her uncle, Hall of Famer Bret 'The Hitman' Hart. Raquel Diaz - the daughter of the late Eddie Guerrero - also spent a brief period of time in the WWE. She is also the wife of current superstar, Aiden English.

Carelli is just getting started on her training, but there's definitely a path there for her to get into the WWE's squared circle, seeing what the likes of Charlotte, Natalya and Diaz have accomplished.

"He’s very supportive and happy to see me doing something he loves," she said. "I’m completely comfortable playing different characters."
