It looks like one proud papa is trying to get his daughter started in the world of professional wrestling, specifically opening the door for her to become a WWE Superstar.
Santino Marella has pitched to both Vince McMahon and Triple H that they look at his daughter as a possible option for a WWE contract, likely getting a shot at the WWE Performance Center in the next class of recruits. He writes in a tweet posted on Sunday morning:
"Hi @TripleH & @StephMcMahon remember my little daughter @CarelliBianca ? Well she’s a woman now, and has been coached since day one to be a total superstar! Biology degree is done this summer, then she’s ready for her time to shine!"
Clearly, his daughter is attractive. The photo shows her in a more-than revealing outfit meant to showoff the kind of physical shape she's in. More than that, Marella suggests that as a second generation star, she's been groomed for the business and has the tools to be WWE's next big star.
Some fans have called him out for trying to "pimp" out his daughter, while others have suggested this is no different than someone like Charlotte being given higher consideration when she started because she was Ric Flair's daughter or The Rock's daughter being brought in to train, because, well, she's The Rock's daughter.
That said, the best comment on the post was from a fan who wrote, "Santino trying to trick us again. We know it’s you, Pal." This, of course, referring to Marella's run in WWE as Santina.
Gotta Start Somewhere
Sometimes, it's not what you know but who you know, which is how the world often works. Santino is clearing not afraid to point out that his daughter has someone in her corner that might have an in with WWE. He's also saying she's got the tools to make it.
It will be interesting to see if she's given a shot.
